Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day, friends!

Not too much to report around here today. Except that I think Mother Nature must be reading my blog posts, because we have been getting snow...and a quite a bit of it. It's awesome!!

It's a winter wonderland.

The kids and I have been having sledding parties every chance we get. Our driveway makes for the best sled hill. It's super long, and has the perfect slope to send you f-l-y-i-n-g. It's been a blast!

Have you ever had homemade marshmallows? They're so tasty, and a lot easier to make than I thought. I made sure that I had all of my ingredients ready, and had the sink water as hot as I could handle. The mallows are super sticky, as you can imagine, so the hot water was essential to keep the stick off. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. If you haven't tried them, you should!

Our local ballet studio sells V-day goodies every year as a fundraiser for their dance team. Their studio and dancers are near and dear to my heart, so it's great to be able to support them...especially when they hook us up with the most scrumptious cocoas bombs and chocolate covered strawberries! YUM

I love making the kids something fun for Valentines day too. This year I made these cute little love monsters and thumbprint hearts from salt dough. These little guys turned out cute. I think my kids appreciate our homemade gifts rather than something from the store.

I hope you have an awesome fun-filled day today, friends. See you next week.
